the irony of blessings

So... I'm at Panera doing some writing. I'm on a chapter about how God provides for us, and am spending some good time in Matthew 7:7-12.

Someone walks by, not knowing this, and asks if they can buy me lunch.

I initially resisted, until the irony of it all hit me.

Man, I love God... not for what He blesses me with that I don't deserve, but because of who He is. When He connects dots I didn't even ask Him to connect, it's just one more reason to give Him a shout out and put Him first in every area of my life.

P.S. I am tempted to write my next chapter on how God also provides trips to Hawaii. We'll see what happens. :)
