There are naturally earlier versions of "you" that you have built a newer version of you over, but don't need to live in that level of you today.
Supernaturally, God does something in us that resets the very beams and floors we've built. We become a new creation, and yet (on this side of heaven) are still building over the past.
The catch?
Others may talk to you today thinking they're talking to a past "you."
Because we are who we are... and we aren't who we are.
It's personal distance, but not personal denial.
That's why it's called growth.
That's part of being human.
